Data minimisation
A Signal carries no personal data in the value that gets verified. A public check returns only validity and the issue and expiry dates — no name, no marks, no identifiers.
Consent before identity
An employer doesn’t see a learner’s identity without an application or explicit consent. Discovery runs on assessed evidence, not on names.
Aggregates protect the few
Cohort-level numbers respect a k-anonymity floor of five. A group smaller than that is never reported in a way that could single anyone out.
DPDP-aligned by design
Purpose limitation, consent and minimisation are built into the product, not bolted on — aligned with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
This site tracks nothing
